my story
rigoberto (he/him/el) is a classically trained chocolatier and pastry chef. he grew up as a first-generation, mexican american in a very small town, but always had big city dreams. he spent most of his childhood between mexico and the united states, learning and appreciating the cultural differences and distinctive flavors of the two countries.

oso cacao is a hand-crafted chocolate brand that takes inspiration from rigoberto’s mexican-american childhood. oso cacao begins with the tradition of mexican-style chocolate making that was passed down by rigoberto’s mother and ancestors and builds on those techniques to create gourmet chocolate bars that are truly unique and comforting. enjoy!
